Wordpress – How to Install Webchat
Step 1: Log in to WordPress
Simply log in to your website’s WordPress dashboard.
Step 2: Navigate to Plugins
From the left navigation panel, click on Plugins. Thereafter, click on Add New.
Step 3: Add New Plugin
Navigate to the search bar and search for ‘Insert Header and Footers’. You will see many options on the search result page. Click on the Install Now button for the Insert Headers and Footers plugin. Please make sure you Activate the plugin to make use of it.
Step 4: Open Headers and Footer Console
From the left navigation menu, click on Settings. Select Insert Headers and Footers from the Settings menu.
Step 5: Grab your account's script for Messenger
In another tab, login to your FreshLime dashboard, and click on Messenger in the main navigation. Once there, you will see a secondary menu under the main navigation. Click on Settings.
Once there, find the Chat Settings & Branding section. This is where you will adjust chat features such as name, colors, and icon used with your chat bot.
At the bottom of the page, you will find a section called Install Webchat on Your Website. Click on Copy Webchat Code. Once you do so, the installation code has been copied to your clipboard.
Step 6: Install the code in your "Insert Headers and Footers" plugin within Wordpress
After you've copied the code snippet by clicking the Copy Theme Code button, paste it in the Scripts in Footer section of the Header and Footer console (back in Wordpress).
